This fan is an Australian Made three speed powered sub-floor vent that removes stale, damp air from beneath your house. It comes with a high quality motor suitable for continuous operation.
This sub floor ventilation fan is a highly efficient fan that is a top quality product, designed to effectively remove subfloor damp and odours. The reliable motor ensures the fan is suitable for continuous operation, although the fan can be purchased with a 24 hour timer (see accessory below) so you can specify operating hours.
The fan can be installed in the sub-floor brickwork or wall and replacement air holes placed into the opposite wall. The fan will exhaust air from the sub floor while replacement air will enter from the breather holes causing a cross flow ventilation pattern.
The fan is set to exhaust mode, if you want to use the fan to supply fresh air you can simply unscrew the plastic cover and mount the motor in reverse. Instructions on how to do this are included in the package.

Very low running costs – continuous operation cost as low as $13 a year (based on 21c/kWh). The fan is installed in the sub-floor brickwork by removal of one full brick and part removal of adjacent bricks above and below. No electrician is required. A 24v/240V adaptor is provided for connection to a standard power point.

Clear information and instructions for installation (which worked), but if you’ve a double brick foundation you may also need a long chisel to reach the inner wall. Fan is quieter than expected so didn’t use the timer. Having the extension cable was very useful to get it working while waiting for the electrician to visit, and having the option for various speeds makes meeting our airflow requirement for a passive sub-floor arrangement straightforward. Very happy.

Very easy to install and I am not a tradesman. Everything in the box with clear instructions. Any fan can’t be totally silent but these are pretty good and you can adjust the speed, the auto feature is very handy.
Delivery costs were acceptable to me, I’m in regional NSW.
